Day One Hundred Seventeen - Simplicity
Something simple for today. It even seems like a little bit of a cop out for me to post a photo that was taken as I was walking rather than a photo that I'd put a lot of thought into. However, something about the balance and composition of this photo had me just staring at it for quite a while. I still don't even know what it is. Maybe I'm the only one who likes it. I suppose at the end of the day that's all that matters anyway.
I didn't have much time to think about a photo or set much up today but I still want to keep in routine or I'll let myself slack off too much, and at a time of year such as this when uni work is piling up and due dates are ever so quickly approaching, lack of routine is not a good thing.
On a good note, not that there was anything bad about the above, but I had a great night at work tonight. I'm finally getting the hang of the menu at Mezethes and the whole waiting and serving thing is starting to come to me more naturally which is a good thing. It allows me to have a bit of fun with work and take my mind off things which is a luxury i haven't had in a while. I use the term luxury very lightly too. Waiting is not a luxury in the traditional sense, quite the opposite. But it's an escape from my busy and cluttered mind and it's something that gives me quite a bit of satisfaction too. It also helps that the people I work with are great guys and heaps of fun!!
I'm off to bed. Today's been long enough.

Day One Hundred Fourteen - Home Recordings
I bought a shiney new, but secondhand mixer the other week. I've been putting it to good use with Max and have recorded a nice 80's love song which will soon have a filmclip to accompany it in the vain of cliff richard. Oh yeah. Next it's the Cranberries.

Day One Hundred Ten - Mother Kitten
Kitten is finally a mother. I got home from work this morning to find three gorgeous little kittens curled up with a very proud and happy mother kitten. Unfortunately the place she had decided to introduce these critters to the world was none other than my bed. INSIDE my bed. In fact, inside my doona.
This meant I had to relocate the mother kitten and three little kittens to a nicely prepared box and convince her it was okay to sleep in there. Then it was off to the laundromat to get my bedding cleaned up. Definitely worth it though. I love kittens. =) It's so interesting how my perception of my cat has changed in such a short period of time. Yesterday I saw her as a playful little kitten as quirky as they come and now she seems like a mature woman with extraordinary mothering skills. The way she looks after them and grooms them is so adorable. When it gets a little cold or someone she doesn't recognise enters the room she shields them from view and the cold air. *sigh* kitteeeennssss!!
